A public party for the Tag Champs

The show opened with a celebration for Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy’s capture of the AEW World Tag Team Championships. FTR, The Acclaimed, The Outrunners, Top Flight and The Conglomeration were among those in the ring, while the heel tag teams stood in the entranceway. Private Party said they were willing to take on anybody and everybody.

The Acclaimed at odds?

Max Caster and Anthony Bowens were backstage with Renee Paquette. There were signs of discord as Caster took Bowens’ “Everyone loves The Acclaimed” line and didn’t seem to be on the same page as his partner when it came to MVP’s business card.

A Kingdom disputed

Lexi Nair interviewed Roderick Strong ahead of his match with Shane Taylor. Strong was flanked by his Undisputed Kingdom allies Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. Strong talked up the importance of getting a win so that he could face MJF at AEW Full Gear. They were interrupted by a threatening Lance Archer and Brian Cage.

Komander vs. Kyle Fletcher

Many would have expected an easier win for the pushed Kyle Fletcher, but he had an excellent, competitive match with Komander. Fletcher attacked Komander after getting the win, but Mark Davis came to the ring. The two faced off before Fletcher walked away.

Perry and Garcia rivalry heats up

Jack Perry was backstage. He was talking about change when Daniel Garcia appeared. Garcia told Perry he had been handed everything his entire life. Perry said he had already fought for everything that Garcia thinks he’s fighting for. Perry told Garcia he was afraid to be the person he needed to be.

Kingdom come

After a squash match over two local talent, Brian Cage & Lance Archer were going to continue punishing the losing team when Roderick Strong, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett ran to the ring.

AR Fox challenges Nick Wayne

Lexi Nair was talking with AR Fox when they were interrupted by Nick Wayne, Mother Wayne and Kip Sabian. The segment ended with Fox telling Wayne he would see him in the ring at next week’s Collision.

Stat is after the TBS Title

Kris Statlander was backstage. She cut a promo on Mercedes Moné, saying she wanted a TBS Championship match at Full Gear.

The BCC takes Philly

Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir came out. Moxley took to the mic to run down Orange Cassidy ahead of their match for the AEW World Title at Full Gear. Moxley put over Wheeler Yuta as a “Philadelphia hero”. At this point, Action Andretti came out to tell an unconvinced crowd that he was the one who really represents Philly. He challenged any of the BCC to a match when he was blindsided by PAC.

Orange Cassidy’s couch-surfing memories

PAC defeated Andretti in an impromptu match and would not release a chokehold after the bell. At this point, Orange Cassidy came out to recall memories of the “old” Wheeler Yuta in the days when they slept on couches in Philadelphia. Cassidy said he would beat Moxley and bring back the old Wheeler Yuta. Moxley slapped Yuta and sent him after Cassidy. When Yuta hesitated to use a chair on Cassidy, he got hit with the Orange Punch.

Takeshita and Kyle want a tag match

Backstage, Kyle Fletcher was with Konosuke Takeshita. They wanted to jump back into the tag division. Takeshita challenged Ricochet while Fletcher said “bring literally whoever you want”.

Johnny pitches an MxM X-Over

MxM Collection and Johnny TV were backstage with Lexi Nair. Johnny said he wanted to “collab.” The crowd loved this.
