The Wrestle Dynasty lineup continues to grow with the addition of two matches following Fighting Spirit Unleashed.
The January 5 show at the Tokyo Dome will include Yota Tsuji taking on Jack Perry in an inter-promotional match between NJPW and AEW, as well as confirmation that Tomohiro Ishii will wrestle either Konosuke Takeshita or Shingo Takagi.
Perry appeared at Friday’s Fighting Spirit Unleashed show in Massachusetts to attack Tsuji and set up the match in two months. Perry is the current TNT champion and will defend that title against Daniel Garcia at Full Gear on November 23.
Tsuji will challenge David Finlay at Wrestle Kingdom 19 at the Tokyo Dome one day prior.
In a Champion vs. Champion match, AEW International champion Konosuke Takeshita is set to face NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi on January 4. It has been announced that the winner of that match will defend against Tomohiro Ishii.
Ishii has had many classics with Takagi but has never had a one-on-one match with Takeshita. Ishii and Takeshita were on opposite sides of a ten-man tag at Forbidden Door 2023.
