Roderick Strong to face MJF at AEW Full Gear

Strong won his match but Cole did not.

MJF proposed a challenge to both Adam Cole and Roderick Strong as both wanted a match with him. He stated that whomever won would secure a match against him at Full Gear. It was later decided that if both men got three wins, the bout at Full Gear would be a three-way.

Strong got his third win over Lance Archer in a Falls Count Anywhere match on 11/13, which set him up to face MJF at the pay-per-view. Next up was Cole taking on AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita. The week prior, MJF gifted the Don Callis Family his Dynamite Diamond Ring and Callis gave that to Takeshita to use on Cole. It secured him the win.

Cole will not be competing against MJF at Full Gear. Post-match, Strong made his way to the ring to go after Takeshita but was low blowed. Making the save for Strong was Kyle O’Reilly.

Former Undisputed Era and Undisputed Elite members Cole, Strong and O’Reilly were left in the ring together, but O’Reilly opted not to shake Cole’s hand.
