Shota Umino to miss NJPW World Tag League date with ankle injury

Shota Umino has been pulled from Sunday’s NJPW World Tag League event in Osaka with an injury.

New Japan announced on Saturday that Umino had hurt his left ankle during the November 29th show in Shizuoka.

The promotion is hopeful for a speedy recovery, however, stating that Umino is expected to return for his A Block match on Monday, December 2nd, after receiving treatment.

Tomoaki Honma will take his place with Tiger Mask in Sunday’s non-tournament match with Chase Owens & KENTA.

Shota Umino, who was scheduled to compete on December 1’s World Tag League card in Osaka, sustained an injury to his left ankle during November 29’s event in Shizuoka.

As a result, Umino will miss December 1’s match in Osaka. The following change has been made to the card:

Tiger Mask & Shota Umino vs Chase Owens & KENTA

Tiger Mask & Tomoaki Honma vs Chase Owens & KENTA

Umino is undergoing treatment, and is expected to return December 2 in Kochi.
