WWE and A&E have expanded their partnership including the introduction of an in-ring competition show.
The network has announced the addition of WWE LFG (“Legends & Future Greats”) and WWE’s Greatest Moments coming to A&E.
The LFG series will profile up-and-coming talent vying for a WWE contract coached by The Undertaker, Bubba Ray Dudley, Mickie James, and Booker T. The series will also include Paul Levesque and Shawn Michaels among the mentors for the talent.
From total unknowns to legends, ‘LFG’ will give viewers a raw, ground-up, 360-degree view of what it truly takes to make it in the WWE,” said Rob Sharenow, President of Programming, A+E Networks. “Our collaboration with WWE has clearly struck a chord with audiences, and we’re excited to continue producing premium content that resonates with a diverse viewership.”
It lists executive producers Levesque, Lee Fitting, Ben Houser, Shawn Michaels & Jeremy Borash.
A&E has also added a new half-hour series called WWE’s Greatest Moments to be hosted by Michael Cole where he interviews talent about historical matches and events in their careers.
They will also return with the fifth season of WWE Rivals “this winter” with episodes dedicated to Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior and Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins forthcoming.
