Motor City Machine Guns to defend tag titles on SmackDown

A title match has been added to Friday Night SmackDown along with the announcement of how the show will begin.

WWE released a video with Nick Aldis announcing that the Motor City Machine Guns will defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits.

The show will include the final opening round match of the Women’s United States Championship Tournament with Naomi vs. Elektra Lopez vs. Tiffany Stratton. The winner advances to face Michin in the semi-finals alongside Bayley vs. Chelsea Green and the finals are set for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Aldis added that Cody Rhodes will be kicking off Friday Night SmackDown at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Earlier today, WWE announced that Jesse Ventura will return to the broadcast booth for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14. Ventura served as the Governor of Minnesota from 1998 – 2002.
