Femi getting his title match at New Year’s Evil.
The final NXT Premium Live Event of 2024 was Deadline from The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Kicking off the action was the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge.
Participating in the bout was Wes Lee, Ethan Page, Je’Von Evans and NXT Tag Team Champion Nathan Frazer. The fifth participant in the match, Eddy Thorpe, had been ambushed on the 12/3 NXT and as a result, he was pulled from the Iron Survivor Challenge.
Taking his spot was the returning Oba Femi. Femi left the match with the most points which secured him the win. Putting him in the lead was a double chokeslam onto Frazer and Lee. He pinned both talents to add two points to his total.
With the victory, Femi is going to be challenging for the NXT Championship at New Year’s Evil in January 2025.
