Tetsuya Naito and Hiromu Takahashi have won the 2024 NJPW World Tag League.

The B Block winners, representing Los Ingobernables de Japon, defeated their A Block counterparts Gabe Kidd and SANADA earlier on Sunday to lift the trophies.

After the victory, Naito challenged his partner to a singles match at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4th. Takahashi accepted.

Kidd and SANADA, representing the War Dogs, employed plenty of heel tactics in the final, including Kidd powerbombing Naito through a table.

The 27-minute match ended when Hiromu set up SANADA for the Time Bomb but pulled his opponent into a roll-up for the pinfall.

The Tag League winners normally are entitled to a shot for the IWGP Tag Team Championships, but those titles are still in flux after an injury to HENARE. His partner Great-O-Khan commented this week that the titles will have to be vacated. No formal announcement has yet been made.

The future of the tag titles will also affect Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th, as The Young Bucks had been scheduled to face HENARE & O-Khan in a championship match at the co-promoted event.
