The Continental Classic semi-finals are set following AEW’s Dynamite on 34th Street.
The taped program from this past Sunday at the Hammerstein Ballroom saw the final round-robin contests to determine who advances to Saturday’s Worlds End pay-per-view.
In the Gold League, Ricochet took the top spot ending the round-robin with ten points while Will Ospreay finished second with nine points.
Ricochet went to a 20-minute draw with Darby Allin on Dynamite and added one point to his total.
Ospreay defeated Brody King to gain three points following a loss to Ricochet this past Saturday on Collision. In the other Gold League match, Komander upset Claudio Castagnoli to gain his only points of the tournament while Castagnoli finished with nine points and Ospreay advanced on the tiebreaker.
The Blue League block was won by Kyle Fletcher, who defeated Daniel Garcia in the main event of Dynamite and finished with twelve points.
Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada earned his spot in the semi-finals by defeating Shelton Benjamin and ending with ten points.
The pairings for Saturday’s semi-finals will see Ricochet face Kazuchika Okada, and Kyle Fletcher takes on Will Ospreay and the winners will meet on the same show to determine the winner of the Continental Classic.
