Takeshita’s next NEVER Openweight Title defense.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling is about to kick off their New Beginning tour and it’ll wrap up on February 11th with The New Beginning in Osaka.
It is official that at that show, Konosuke Takeshita is going to be putting his NEVER Openweight Championship on the line against Oleg Boltin.
After Takeshita successfully defended the NEVER Openweight and AEW International Titles against Tomohiro Ishii at Wrestle Dynasty, he threw out a challenge to KUSHIDA for NJPW Battle in the Valley. Takeshita won that bout on January 11th.
Circling back to Takeshita’s post-Wrestle Dynasty media appearance where he threw out the challenge to KUSHIDA, he was also approached by Oleg Boltin. They agreed to have a match when Takeshita came back to Japan.
