Two championship bouts locked in.
January 22nd is the start date of NJPW’s Road to The New Beginning tour. There have been two championship matches added to the tour’s February 3rd and 4th dates.
There is going to be a rematch for the World Television Championship as El Phantasmo defends against Jeff Cobb. They met at Battle in the Valley, but the match ended in a double count out.
The 2/4 date is going to feature Kosei Fujita challenging El Desperado for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. Desperado successfully defended against Taiji Ishimori at Battle in the Valley.
Desperado won the championship for the fifth time at Wrestle Kingdom 19 because DOUKI was unable to continue due to injury.
