AEW Collision stays steady against NFL Wild Card game & New Year’s Evil replay

AEW Collision saw its audience largely unchanged from the previous week’s airing against an NFL Wild Card game and an NXT replay.

The January 11 edition of Collision from Athens, Georgia, averaged 337,000 viewers and 117,000 (0.09) in the 18-49 demographic.

The audience was down by 2% and the core demographic audience was 3% lower than the previous week’s figures.

Saturday’s competition included Amazon Prime’s streaming of the NFL Wild Card game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

CW re-aired the New Year’s Evil special including The Rock appearing throughout the episode and attracting an audience of 279,000 viewers and 0.04 in the 18-49 demographic.

In prime-time, AEW Collision ranked #6 on cable behind a college basketball doubleheader on ESPN, On Patrol: Live, and Fox News programming.

The show from Athens also scored a 0.04 in the 18-34 demographic with an average of 31,000 viewers.

It was Collision’s second episode to air on the Canadian version of the USA Network and averaged 69,000 viewers and 48,000 in the 25-54 demographic. The premiere on USA in Canada averaged 99,000 and 67,000 respectively.

This week’s edition of Collision aired against the UFC Fight Night card on Sportsnet 360 in Canada. The Fight Night event averaged 19,000 viewers and 3,000 in the demo for the main card and 25,000 and 3,000 respectively for the prelim portion.
