An update from McDonagh himself.

The War Raiders (Ivar & Erik) successfully defended their WWE World Tag Team Championships against Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio and J.D. McDonagh on the 1/27 Raw on Netflix.

Early in the match, McDonagh went for a springboard moonsault to the outside but when he landed, his head whiplashed off the commentary desk.

McDonagh continued in the match. He took a neckbreaker from Erik and did a moonsault off the top rope. Taking to X, McDonagh thanked everyone for the concern. He shared that he has a couple broken ribs and a punctured lung. He added that all things considered, he’s grateful that’s all it was.

First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good.

I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that.

See ya in a bit. 🤘🏻

After McDonagh got up from the springboard moonsault to the outside, the crowd in Atlanta, Georgia cheered him. On the latest Rewind-A-Raw, John Pollock and Wai Ting discussed McDonagh continuing the match after the rough landing.
