Último has history with both men.
37-year pro wrestling veteran Último Dragón was the focus of an interview on the Grue Rume Show. He was seated alongside Sonny Onoo who provided the translations.
Último was asked if he’d like to make his way to All Elite Wrestling to share the ring with the likes of Kazuchika Okada and Chris Jericho. He expressed that he’d really like to do that and those would be some of the last matches he has.
Último’s history with Okada dates back to when Okada first started his pro wrestling career. His past with Jericho dates back to when they first crossed paths in CMLL in 1993. Here’s what Dragón via Sonny Onoo’s translation:
I would really like to do that. That would kind of cap… yeah, he says that would be one of the last matches that he’ll have; to be able to wrestle those guys (Kazuchika Okada & Chris Jericho).
Both Jericho and Okada were featured on the 4/9 AEW Dynamite. Okada was involved with Kenny Omega and on the Jericho front, he stormed out of the ring after tensions boiled over with The Learning Tree (Big Bill & Bryan Keith) and suggested that maybe it is time for him to step away.
