Talents were told that the flight delay was because of a mechanical issue and nothing more and Seth Rollins gave a speech to those present at the meeting. ** Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier was a recent guest on the Keepin It 100 With Konnan podcast and Cormier shared that he was in talks with WWE about a variety of roles concerning their move to FOX but does not know if it was WWE or FOX pushing for it to happen.

Honestly, I was in a lot, a lot of conversations with a lot of people about different things with the WWE. One was the studio show in L.A., and another one was maybe trying to figure out a way to be on commentary… I’ve got some great relationships at FOX, so I don’t necessarily know if it was WWE pushing this, or FOX pushing this. I was there for five years — UFC Tonight and everything else. Made some great friendships and they just wanted to try and keep me in the FOX family. But no man, I’ve talked to Triple H, talked to Michael Cole and I’ve talked to the people that run the show down at FOX. I’d like to say the ship has not sailed so, we still have to find something that works and the moment we find something that works, I’m all in.

Cormier also talked about when he and Cain Velasquez attended the 2018 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Paradise, Nevada. He said that Cain being in that atmosphere drew him back into professional wrestling and he noticed how intrigued Velasquez was:

He’s a great guy, humble guy. I remember last year, we were in Las Vegas. We were doing the Ultimate Fighter before Stipe [Miocic] and I fought the first time. Sunday night, it’s Elimination Chamber in Vegas. We tell the WWE we want tickets, so they give em’ to us — to me and Cain Velasquez and five other guys so they’re like, ‘Sure, we’ll give you guys tickets right next the rail’. Cain and them leave, they come back, he’s got luchador masks for everybody. He’s like, ‘Let’s go’, so we hang out, we drink a little bit and we go to the match and as the guys are in there, those chambers and the lights shut out, everyone of the wrestlers were looking back and giving us the thumbs up and it’s just like, ‘Those dudes are real fighters’, but I saw Cain kind of… I just saw it. I don’t know. It did something to him. It did something a little bit different because he always loved professional wrestling, but he hadn’t been watching it as much recently, but then the moment he was in that environment, I saw something happen to him. Something changed in him, in Vegas that night and he was like, ‘I don’t know man, I might wanna do wrestling’, and then he just kept watching more and falling back in love with something that he watched so much as a kid and now, he’s in the WWE fighting for the WWE Title in his first match.

Graham voiced his displeasure with the size of Adam Cole and suggested that Cole should start doing steroids:

NXT Champion Adam Cole Needs to do Steroids

Yes fans, once more the Superstar speaks the truth and is not afraid to tell the truth. I did indeed watch the last Friday Night Smackdown and was very impressed with the technical skill of the NXT champ against Daniel Bryan in the main event. However, once again we see a champion of a WWE brand who is smaller than most women on both Raw and Smackdown !!!! HHH my dear brother, I am speaking to you now…what is it with such small champions in the WWE save Brock Lesnar? That is why Lesnar beat Kofi in under 10 seconds to win the WWE Titile Belt back…because it would have been a farce to carry Kofi any longer, the very nice young man that he is. Damn, Adam Cole is soooooooooo small. I am not telling him to abuse roids, just use them correctly to enhance your physique, HHH will show you exactly how to do it, but just DO IT for the sake of your championship title…..you should look like a champion !!!!!!

I’d idolized them when I was younger, and now they’d be watching me in the main event, and that’s something I accomplished with the help of these people.

Lynch was also asked about a potential rematch against Ronda Rousey and said that whenever Rousey is ready to return, The Man will be waiting for her.

When that water bottle was thrown, it was kind of symbolic of my life, our lives as people,” Neidhart said. “I have yet to meet a person who has yet to have a struggle in their journey. For me, all I could think of in that moment was that, ‘Oh, a bottle was thrown.’ I was going to keep going forward because forward is forward no matter what the pace is. Because of that mindset I’ve gotten to where I am today. I’ve had so much worse than bottles thrown at me.

Natalya added that Lacey Evans truly wanted to be in-character during their match but they both were aware of how big the moment was and how it was far bigger than their respective characters.

I couldn’t even feel my legs underneath me. It was totally surreal, I was floating,” Neidhart said. “I know Lacey was dying to be in character — she loves playing her character — but I just knew that we were creating this magical moment together and we were so emotional. Lacey said beforehand that she was thinking about her daughter and knowing the role her mom played in this change.

Mikey from Black Label wanted to do it once.” Swoggle revealed that the promotion wanted him versus Zack Sabre Jr. in a submission match. “He wanted to do that one time he brought [it] up and then he brought up me and Haku. It would be a lot of fun… So it was supposed to be me and Haku or me and [Nick] Gage so that was the first time I’d ever worked Marko Stunt, last year, and I was like, I didn’t even know him. I told him, ‘I didn’t know you’. I looked him up online and I saw what he was doing and I go — I email Mikey from Black Label Pro and I go, ‘What the f*ck are you doing to me? He wrestles and he flips and he flies and he’s really fast and really good. I’m a fat worker now. I can’t…’ and we ended up killing it and it was one of my most fun matches that I’ve had so far being released, and it was like — again, it was like one of those times where it’s like, ‘Oh yeah, I can still do this a little bit. This is still really, really fun, and I can hang a little bit.’

** AEW World Tag Team Champion Scorpio Sky sat down with Chris Van Vliet for an exclusive interview and Scorpio talked about not being pleased with the match on AEW: Dynamite in Philadelphia in which he lost his shoe:

I didn’t actually,” Sky said when asked if he realized how special that moment was. “I was actually really, really upset with myself as it showed and I’ve taken a lot of flack for it, because our finishing move didn’t come out the way we wanted it to and I’m really a perfectionist, and I knew it was a special night, I knew the match was going really, really well and I threw my shoe out in the crowd and the crowd comes up and they threw it back and I’m like, ‘Yay! I got it back. This is cool’, and so the fact that the very last thing we did didn’t work, I was extremely frustrated with myself and with the entire moment. It wasn’t anybody’s fault. It was just a timing thing, but when I got to the back, I wasn’t really thinking about, ‘Oh this is a great moment.’ It was like, ‘Damn it, damn it, damn it. We were almost there. We were almost there’ and fortunately, the fans are amazing and forgiving and everyone… I received a few tweets here and there — people [were] like, ‘Oh man, don’t worry about that. You were in socks and it’s not a big deal and it was an amazing performance’ so thank you for that.

Scorpio talks about the homophobic tweets he sent out in 2011:

A couple of months after that, I had some bad decisions that I made where I said some things on Twitter that I shouldn’t have said that were very, very inappropriate and ignorant, actually, and it came off as homophobic, and that’s a very down point of my career — something I look back on with a lot of regret and at the same time though, I learned a lot from it and I definitely can look back — here we are, this is almost going on ten years later. I’ve learned a lot from it and I’m definitely a different person now than I was then, and I learned that there is certain language that is completely unacceptable and not only in the public eye, but in your personal life as well, and so, it’s a situation that I’m very embarrassed about and I look back with a lot of regret but at the same time, I learned from it and became a better person and a more understanding person and yeah, that’s that.

Reaching out to Nyla Rose and Sonny Kiss when those tweets resurfaced and having a conversation with them:

I still see tweets every once in a while where someone’s like, ‘Oh this guy is that’ and I can’t do anything about it. There was a situation where not too long after we signed with AEW, someone tweeted at Nyla Rose and Sonny Kiss, and they said, ‘How do you feel about having this guy in the company’ and, you know, I don’t care if someone takes a shot at me, but to try and make someone else feel uncomfortable, I thought was kind of a real low shot. So I reached out to them. I didn’t really know them that well at the time but I reached out to them. I said, ‘Hey, I had some things that I said almost ten years ago that I’m very embarrassed about and it was very ignorant and very inappropriate and I’m a different person today than I was then and I never want you to feel uncomfortable around me and we can always talk’, and they couldn’t have been more understanding and open and in my corner and to this day, the three of us are just great close friends.

When those tweets were sent out by Scorpio, he was doing some work for WWE and it affected his relationship with the company to a certain extent.

Oh absolutely,” the tweets affected his relationship with WWE. “WWE responded to it, because there was a guy that basically saw the tweets and he screen-capped them and sent them to every company I ever worked for at that time. He sent them to every single company and said, ‘This guy needs to be gone’. This is 2011 I think. Something like that, and so, WWE responded and they said that we don’t back this and we have an anti-bullying campaign — yada, yada, yada, which they had to say. They called me a year later. I worked for them a year later on accident. I don’t think they remembered or whatever, but, whatever it was, like I said, I don’t hold any animosity towards that. I’m the one that made the mistake. I screwed up and it’s a part of the story.

Scorpio Sky expresses that he wants Tessa Blanchard in All Elite Wrestling:

She’s one of my favorites. Yeah, I want her here. I’ve been pretty open about it. I think she’s the best women’s wrestler in the world, and I was just gonna say, and one of the best wrestlers I’ve ever been with honestly. She’s phenomenal so, the fact that she’s not with WWE — I know she’s with IMPACT and I don’t know, I’m sure she’s very happy there but… and I have nothing to do with… this is me, just talking as a wrestler. I would love to have her here with AEW and I think this would be a great place for her.

Bellator had actually contacted me about being his first opponent and J.W. Kiser got it over me, and they may have asked a few other people. I just don’t remember their names right now. But, I was one of the options of his first fight. So ever since that was brought to my attention and I found out that he was making a run in MMA, I had told Bellator, I was like, ‘Hey man, down the road, keep me in mind. I’ll be his second, third, fourth, fifth opponent — whatever I gotta do. It’d be awesome to fight him. Make a name for yourself basically. He’s a big name in the WWE world and wrestling world so, you could make a name off of him if you beat him so, that’s what I was looking to do the whole time. I’m just patiently waiting for my chance against him.
