At the conclusion of tonight’s episode of SmackDown, two matches were added to the Royal Rumble match card and stipulations were added to two of the matches that were already scheduled for the event. One of those newly announced matches was Sheamus versus Shorty G. Their feud began when Sheamus returned to SmackDown and appeared to be saving Shorty G from a beat down by The Revival. After Sheamus chased the duo off, he delivered a “Brogue Kick” to Shorty G. The two exchanged words on tonight’s show and those words resulted in Shorty G taking Sheamus to the ground.

Roman Reigns versus Baron Corbin was already official for the upcoming pay-per-view and both men are also slated to compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Reigns took on Robert Roode in a Tables match on the 1/17 SmackDown and scored the victory. With that win, Reigns secured himself the option to choose the stipulation for he and Corbin’s match at the Royal Rumble and the two will meet in a Falls Count Anywhere match inside of Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
