Friday Night SmackDown saw a modest increase in their overnight figures this week for the episode featuring Bill Goldberg.

The show from Arizona averaged 2,490,000 viewers on the overnight numbers with the final number expected to be out on Monday. The overnight figure was up 1% compared to last week’s final average.

SmackDown did 2,542,000 in the first hour and 2,438,000 in the second with the show building towards the appearance by Goldberg, who was confronted by The Fiend.

The show did a 0.7 in the 18-49 demo, which tied the second hour of NBC’s Dateline for the top show in the demo among network programming. If you combine both hours of Dateline, SmackDown would be considered tops for the evening.

SmackDown also registered a 0.5 among adults 18-34, which topped all network shows, as well.

Prior to last night’s show, Friday Night SmackDown has averaged 2,478,000 viewers in 2020.

Next week’s episode will feature John Cena’s return at the TD Garden in Boston and follows the Super ShowDown event the day prior.
