The Ladder match to determine the next #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship was originally scheduled for TakeOver: Tampa but with the COVID-19 outbreak, the TakeOver: Tampa event along with the festivities of WrestleMania week are no longer taking place. The matches that were set for TakeOver will be airing on NXT TV on the USA Network and the field has been set for the Ladder match that’ll take place on next week’s show. Mia Yim, Io Shirai, Candice LeRae, Chelsea Green and Tegan Nox will be competing in the match. Dakota Kai earned her spot in the match by winning a second chance gauntlet that featured the losers of the qualifying matches.
Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa is set for next week. Also, another Killer Kross promo aired during tonight’s show. On last week’s program, Kross’ debut promo for NXT aired during Gargano and Ciampa’s segment.
