Dana White in process of securing an island for Int’l fights

Dana White is confident as of April 18th, the UFC will be up and running after securing an undisclosed venue and in the process of securing an island.

UFC president Dana White is confident that as of April 18th, the UFC will be back up and running after securing an undisclosed venue and in the process of securing a private island.

In speaking with TMZ, White stated they have secured a location for the next two months, which is rumored to be on the West Coast but we don’t have confirmation of the location. White says they will be setting up shop from this area for two months and running cards regularly.

White also tells the site that he’s finalizing a deal to secure a private island that would accommodate their international fighters that would be unable to get into the country during the ongoing pandemic. They would stage their international cards from this undisclosed island.

I have this venue for two months and I’m setting up shop here. We’re going to be pumping out fights every week. I have also, I’m a day or two away from securing a private island. I have a private island that I’ve secured, we’re getting the infrastructure put in now, so I’m going to start doing the international fights, too, with international fighters. Because I won’t be able to get the international fighters all into the U.S., so I have a private island and I’ll start flying them into the private island and doing international fights from there.

So, as of April 18th, the UFC is back up and running.

This comes after Monday’s news that UFC 249 is taking place on Saturday, April 18th and headlined by Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje with the winner becoming the interim lightweight champion.

The following card has been announced for the UFC 249 pay-per-view event:
