WWE Raw Notes: Big Show, Nia Jax & Apollo Crews appear

Monday’s post-WrestleMania edition of Raw saw several additions to the active roster along with an impromptu WWE title match involving Drew McIntyre.

Monday’s post-WrestleMania edition of Raw saw several additions to the active roster along with an impromptu WWE title match involving Drew McIntyre.

The show was promoted around “shocking footage” after McIntyre won the WWE title from Brock Lesnar. They aired an interview that was set up as taking place twenty minutes after McIntyre won the title and was confronted by Big Show. It led to am impromptu match that saw McIntyre sell for the entire match, survive a chokeslam and won after ducking the KO punch and hitting the Claymore.

Nia Jax returned after a year off due to double knee surgery. She had not wrestled since WrestleMania 35 and came back on this show defeating Deonna Purrazzo in a short match using an elevated DDT.

Apollo Crews has been moved from SmackDown to Raw with the explanation that there were ‘draft picks that were set to expire’. This may make sense as they announced a trade last fall after the draft where Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were sent to SmackDown for ‘future considerations’ and Crews is the future consideration. He had a long match with Aleister Black that lasted over twenty-seven minutes of television time ending with Black victorious using the Black Mass.

Finally, Bianca Belair appeared for the second night in a row assisting The Street Profits. First, she was placed in a match with Zelina Vega that was thrown out and led to a six-person tag where Belair & The Street Profits defeated Angel Garza, Austin Theory & Vega. Belair pinned Vega after hitting the KOD.
