The post-WrestleMania edition of Friday Night SmackDown saw another decline in the overnight figures placing this episode on pace to be the lowest since launching on Fox.
The overnight figures show SmackDown averaging 2,304,000 viewers on Friday for the latest empty arena show from the Performance Center. The number was down from last week’s final number of 2,398,000 viewers.
The first hour did 2,372,000 and the second hour averaged 2,235,000 that featured Braun Strowman vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event.
The 18-49 demographic saw a 0.6 for SmackDown falling behind ABC’s Shark Tank, CBS’s MacGyver, Magnum P.I., and The Blacklist and equal to 20/20 and Dateline NBC.
The final number will be out Tuesday that reflects the entire country. Of late, the overnight figure and final number have been very close. If this week’s show falls below 2,309,000 viewers it will be the lowest episode of SmackDown on Fox since launching last October.
There was an episode that aired on FS1 on October 18th last year that did 888,000 viewers.
Late Friday, it was reported that WWE will be going back to live editions of Raw, NXT & SmackDown beginning this Monday with all shows taking place from the Performance Center.
