All Elite Wrestling confirmed on Friday evening that Britt Baker’s injury sustained this past week on Dynamite will force her to miss Double or Nothing and her match against Kris Statlander.
During Wednesday’s broadcast, Baker was teaming with Nyla Rose against Hikaru Shida and Statlander when she appeared to suffer a right knee injury as she was seated in the corner. Statlander and Shida lifted Rose and dropped her onto Baker and landed on the knee that caused Baker to be removed from the match and tended to by AEW officials.
Baker had been set to undergo an MRI on Thursday and while AEW has not spoken about the severity of the injury, they will provide an update on Saturday night’s pay-per-view.
Penelope Ford will step in and face Statlander on the pay-per-view replacing Baker.
. @RealBrittBaker is out of #AEWDon due to injury. We will address her status at Double or Nothing tomorrow night. @callmekrisstat will now face @thePenelopeFord Live on Pay Per View.
