The May 27th edition of AEW Dynamite featured an announcement from Britt Baker concerning the leg injury she suffered several weeks back. Over the weekend, AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that Baker would be out of action for a number of weeks but on tonight’s Dynamite, Baker said that she’ll be out of action until AEW’s All Out pay-per-view which takes place on September 5th.
To close out the show, there was a brawl between The Inner Circle and on the opposite site of the ring were Mike Tyson, Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort and the recently retired former UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight Champion Henry Cejudo. Jericho and Tyson got into a shoving match which led to a handful of AEW talents and personnel coming into the ring to separate the two groups.

Tony Khan confirmed during the post-Double Or Nothing media scrum that Brian Cage is challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Fyter Fest and a graphic aired during Dynamite to further confirm that. It was said during the show that Fyter Fest will take place “sometime during the Summer”. Also at Fyter Fest, Best Friends are going to be challenging for the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
On next week’s Dynamite, Chris Jericho will be competing in singles competition. Along with that match, Cody is going to defend the TNT Championship against Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy won a battle royal on the show to earn that opportunity. Cody stated that he will defend the TNT Title every week on Dynamite. Another title match official for next week is Kenny Omega and Hangman Page defending the tag titles against Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc.
In the beginning portion of the show, Jim Ross made a joke about the talents in the crowd being behind Plexiglass which is what WWE has done with their talents for shows. The opening contest of Dynamite saw Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy and Joey Janela team up against The Young Bucks and Matt Hardy. There was a spot during the match when Private Party both did dives over the top rope and Quen landed awkwardly on his ankle and had to be helped to the back after the match. In an update from PWInsider, the Marq Quen spot was planned, as it was a way to get Matt Hardy to help Quen to the back which cleared the ring for the debut of FTR.
