New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that the current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi is currently out of action with a shoulder injury. Takahashi injured his left shoulder and will not be able to compete at the 7/29 or 7/31 shows in Shizuoka and Tokyo respectively.

Hiromu is scheduled to defend the IWGP Junior Title against Taiji Ishimori on August 29th at the conclusion of the Summer Struggle tour in Jingu Stadium. Takahashi is expected to be cleared in time for that event.

The matches that Takahashi were going to be in this week were cut down to traditional two-on-two tag team matches with Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI representing Los Ingobernables de Japon. Naito is set to challenge EVIL for both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Titles at the 8/29 Summer Struggle show.

NJPW held a press conference as well and announced the KOPW Championship and the rules that come with that title can be read here.
