WWE has announced one match for Monday night’s episode of Raw and it will feature the return of a performer who has been absent for several weeks.
On Sunday, WWE revealed that United States champion Apollo Crews will return on Raw this Monday to defend the title against MVP. The championship match is set to kick off the show.
The match between the two was originally scheduled for The Horror Show at Extreme Rules last month but was removed from the card when Crews was unavailable.
Crews did not appear on WWE programming throughout the month of July with his last match on Raw taking place on June 27th when he was defeated by MVP in a non-title match.
Raw is also advertising Drew McIntyre responding to Randy Orton’s show-closing attack last week, as well as Asuka’s reaction after Bayley took out Kairi Sane last week.
WWE is set to tape two episodes of Raw on Monday at the Performance Center for this week’s episode and the show airing on Monday, August 10th. This Tuesday, they will tape the August 7th & 14th editions of Friday Night SmackDown. Both taping dates will include supplementary content for Main Event, Raw Talk & 205 Live.
