WWE made the announcement that NXT talent Tegan Nox has suffered a torn ACL. The injury is being accredited to Candice LeRae’s storyline attack on Tegan last week on NXT. There was a Battle Royal to determine Io Shirai’s challenger for the NXT Women’s Title at TakeOver 31 and prior to the match, LeRae ran a crate into Tegan’s knee. In the NXT injury report the following day, it was listed that Nox suffered a torn ACL. Paul “Triple H” Levesque confirmed during the pre-TakeOver 31 media call that Nox has already undergone surgery.

This is Tegan’s third time tearing her ACL. The first occurred after she signed with WWE in 2017 which kept her out of the first Mae Young Classic tournament. The second time it tore, Tegan was competing in the second Mae Young Classic in a match against Rhea Ripley.
Back in March, Tegan told ‘Wales Online’ that she considered quitting wrestling after her second knee injury. Nox’s last match was in early August when she competed in a Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender to the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
