NXT’s ‘Halloween Havoc’-branded show is taking place on October 28th. Announced for the event is Candice LeRae challenging Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship and Johnny Gargano challenging Damian Priest for the North American Championship. LeRae defeated Shotzi Blackheart in a number one contender’s match with the use of brass knuckles to earn another shot at the NXT Women’s Title. At the conclusion of tonight’s show, Gargano superkicked Damian Priest after his title defense and he and LeRae stood over Priest.
NXT GM William Regal directed Gargano and LeRae’s attention to the host of NXT Halloween Havoc, Shotzi Blackheart. Shotzi revealed that Gargano and LeRae are getting their respective title matches but they’ll have to play ‘Spin The Wheel, Make A Deal’ to add stipulations to their matches.

An update was provided on the direction of the NXT Championship picture. Finn Balor is currently recovering from undergoing surgery for a broken jaw. It was stated during the show that Balor will be given a few weeks to recover before a decision is made regarding the NXT Championship.
Also at Halloween Havoc, Raquel Gonzalez is facing Rhea Ripley. On the 10/21 episode of NXT, Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango) are defending their NXT Tag Team Championships against the duo of Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong. Following his loss in the main event of TakeOver 31, Undisputed ERA member Kyle O’Reilly is returning to in-ring action next week.
Damian Priest retained his NXT Title by besting Dexter Lumis in the main event of tonight’s show. Cameron Grimes got involved in the match and hit the “Kamen” onto Lumis which led to Priest scoring the victory.
