Dating back to the month of July, AJ Styles has taken to his Twitch channel several times and openly expressed his feelings towards Paul Heyman. Styles initially described Heyman as a “liar” and in the following streams, he went on to explain that he spoke with Paul Heyman and was told that he [Heyman] knew nothing about Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson being released from WWE. Styles shared that a friend relayed to him that Gallows and Anderson’s names were not brought up until Heyman mentioned them as far as being released goes.

Styles was moved to SmackDown from RAW and said he made the move because he “couldn’t stand looking at him”, being Heyman. Styles was moved back to Monday Night RAW as a part of the WWE Draft recently.

Paul Heyman has not publicly spoken about the situation with AJ Styles and during an interview with Bleacher Report, he explained why he never touched on it.

In the 50 or so weeks that I was the executive director of Monday Night Raw, I never discussed being the executive director of Monday Night Raw, and the reason why is because when you’re in that position, you’re privy to the top echelon, inner-sanctum of the inner workings of WWE.

Along with that position comes an expectation of confidentiality and secrecy. I never violated that confidentiality or secrecy while executive director, which is why I didn’t do any interviews while executive director.

I won’t discuss anything I did as executive director, whether it’s something worthy of praise or criticism, because I will respect the responsibility that I had to keep everything that I did as executive director secret or confidential, whether that’s in the face of criticism or praise that has been bestowed upon me.

Heyman is currently a part of SmackDown where he manages the Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Reigns is set to defend the Universal Title on tonight’s SmackDown against Braun Strowman.
