WWE SmackDown notes: Drew McIntyre competes, Chelsea Green appears, Rollins/Murphy

On the road to Survivor Series, RAW's Drew McIntyre appeared on SmackDown, Chelsea Green made her return to WWE programming and much more.

Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with a segment featuring WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns addressing his match against the WWE Champion at Survivor Series. That segment was interrupted by RAW’s Drew McIntyre who’ll be challenging Randy Orton for the WWE Title next week on RAW. Jey Uso soon came to the ring to confront McIntyre on behalf of Reigns which led to an unsanctioned match being set up between McIntyre and Uso. McIntyre was victorious in the match.

After months away from WWE programming, Chelsea Green made her return on SmackDown. She competed in a four-way match with Natalya, Tamina and Liv Morgan to determine who would be joining Bianca Belair and Ruby Riott on the SmackDown women’s Survivor Series team. Liv Morgan won the match by pinning Tamina.

Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio had a match which was billed as “The Final Chapter” between the two men. Murphy helped Mysterio defeat Rollins and after the match, he was greeted by the Mysterio family. Post-match, Rollins demanded a match against Murphy on the 11/20 SmackDown and it was made official.

Also on tonight’s SmackDown, Sami Zayn successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews. Zayn is moving on to Survivor Series to take on United States Champion Bobby Lashley.
