The main event of AEW’s ‘Winter Is Coming’ show on TNT saw Kenny Omega challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. IMPACT Wrestling Co-Vice President Don Callis was on commentary for the match and towards the conclusion of it, Omega appeared to be hurt by the guardrails and Callis came over to check on him. Despite referees checking on Omega, Jon Moxley tossed Omega back in the ring which led to Callis grabbing a microphone and saying that Omega was hurt.
While the referee was dealing with Don Callis, Moxley went up to Don, hit him which sent the mic flying towards Omega. Kenny used the mic on Moxley and that set Omega up to win the AEW World Championship. Callis and Omega jetted out of Daily’s Place to a vehicle and when Alex Marvez attempted to get a word with them, Don said that Kenny is going to tell all when he appears on next week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

Jon Moxley first captured the AEW World Title back at the Revolution pay-per-view in February of 2020. This title win is Omega’s first major title since capturing the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in 2018.
IMPACT Wrestling sent out the following tweet in response to Callis’ comments:
