The opening match of the 2020 WWE TLC pay-per-view featured Drew McIntyre defending his WWE Championship against AJ Styles. As the match progressed, the Money In The Bank holder The Miz made his way to the ring along with John Morrison to make the cash-in. The Miz officially cashed in the contract and made the WWE Title bout a three-way.
John Morrison lured AJ Styles’ ringside manager Omos to the backstage area after hitting him over the back with a chair. As the finish of the bout inched closer, McIntyre, Styles and Miz had moments where it appeared that they were going to pull down the WWE Championship. In the end, it was McIntyre retaining the gold and continuing his second reign as WWE Champion.

The Miz won the Money In The Bank contract from Otis at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view and just several months later, the contract was officially cashed in and Drew McIntyre is still WWE Champion heading into the company’s next pay-per-view, the Royal Rumble.
