The NXT brand is one week out from their next TakeOver event which is titled TakeOver: Vengeance Day. There are three title matches scheduled for the show and the latest addition is Johnny Gargano putting the North American Championship on the line against KUSHIDA.
The match was confirmed after Gargano went to William Regal’s office to talk to Regal about KUSHIDA. When Gargano opened the door, KUSHIDA was on his way out which led to the two brawling and they’ll be brawling in the ring for the North American Title come TakeOver.

TakeOver: Vengeance will be KUSHIDA’s first TakeOver event and he’s walking into the match with a win over Gargano stemming from the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

- NXT Women’s Championship — Triple Threat Match: Io Shirai (c) vs. Toni Storm vs. Mercedes Martinez
- NXT Championship: Finn Balor (c) vs. Pete Dunne
- NXT North American Championship: Johnny Gargano (c) vs. KUSHIDA
