Going into tonight’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV, it was previously announced that Rich Swann would be defending the IMPACT World Championship against Moose at Sacrifice on March 13th. Tonight’s program was promoted around an announcement that was going to be made by IMPACT Co-Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore.
D’Amore stated that at Sacrifice, Moose will put his sanctioned TNA World Heavyweight Championship on the line as well and he and Swann are going to have a unification match to determine the Unified World Champion of IMPACT Wrestling. Coming out of that match, the winner will be headed towards another title match the following month at Rebellion on April 24th.
Either Swann or Moose are going to be competing in the main event of Rebellion to take on AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a double title match.

Omega competed at IMPACT’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view in January. Omega, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated the trio of Rich Swann, Chris Sabin and Moose. Omega pinned Swann to win the match for his team.
