The latest inductee to be announced for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class is Kane a.k.a. Glenn Jacobs.
The news was revealed on Wednesday’s edition of The Bump with The Undertaker appearing on the show to inform Jacobs of his inclusion with this year’s class.

Jacobs is currently serving as the Mayor of Knox County in Tennessee and has been affiliated with the WWE/WWF since 1995.
After several failed characters including Dr. Isaac Yankem DDS and a fake version of Diesel, his career took off portraying Kane in 1997.
After months of build-up, the character debuted at the Badd Blood pay-per-view in October 1997 as he broke into the Hell in a Cell to confront his “brother” The Undertaker and led to Shawn Michaels winning the inaugural match inside the structure.
There was no expectation of the longevity the character would have beyond the feud with The Undertaker, which included a match at WrestleMania 14 and an Inferno Match the following month at In Your House: Unforgiven. At WrestleMania in 1998, Kane began a three-year running gag of attacking former baseball player Pete Rose at each WrestleMania through 2000.
Kane won the WWF Championship at the King of the Ring event on June 28, 1998, but lost it back to Steve Austin the next night on Raw is War. In 2008, he won the ECW Championship at WrestleMania 24 and the World Championship in July 2010.
Kane would win just about every championship in the company throughout his run but was often linked to some of the most absurd angles the company could conceive of with the character giving WWE carte blanche to present the wackiest ideas.
One of his most well-remembered runs was teaming with Daniel Bryan as Team Hell No in 2012 that helped Bryan breakthrough as a character while playing off Kane so effectively.
He wrestled as recently as January when he appeared in the Royal Rumble match, which was won by Edge.
Jacobs became Mayor of Knox County in August 2018 where he ran as the Republican candidate and defeated Democrat Linda Haney with 66.4 percent of the votes.
Kane joins Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff as part of the Hall of Fame class of 2021.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will be taped over two nights next week at Tropicana Field and airs on the WWE Network on Tuesday, April 6th.
