Io Shirai first captured the NXT Women’s Championship in June of 2020 and that reign was ended today by Raquel Gonzalez.
The two competitors clashed in the main event of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night two for the NXT Women’s Championship. The conclusion of the bout saw Raquel raising the Women’s Title above her head as she ended Io’s 300+ day reign as champion.

In early March, Raquel and Dakota Kai became the first-ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions but they lost the titles on the same night to Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart.
Moon and Blackheart will be defending their titles on night two of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell.
