At WrestleMania 37, Bobby Lashley defeated Drew McIntyre to retain his WWE Championship. At WWE’s next pay-per-view titled WrestleMania Backlash on May 16th, McIntyre and Lashley will meet for the title once again.

McIntyre, Randy Orton and Braun Strowman closed the Raw after WrestleMania with a three-way to determine the next challenger to the WWE Title. Orton hit an RKO onto Strowman and as Strowman was being pinned, McIntyre slid in the ring and hit a “Claymore” on Orton and won the match.

Following McIntyre’s victory, MVP made his way out to the entrance ramp and McIntyre was ambushed from behind by MACE and T-BAR, formerly of RETRIBUTION. MACE and T-BAR attacked former RETRIBUTION leader Mustafa Ali several weeks ago which disbanded the group.

McIntyre versus Lashley is the first match announced for WrestleMania Backlash and as additions to the card are made, POST Wrestling will continue to provide updates on the lineup.
