For only the second time this year, WWE Raw topped two million viewers following WrestleMania Weekend, which topped Monday’s cable chart.
The annual “Night After WrestleMania” episode averaged 2,026,000 viewers while finishing with a 0.68 rating in the 18-49 demographic. It was Raw’s highest overall viewership since Legends Night on January 4th that did 2,128,000 viewers and a 0.68 in the 18-49 demo.
After equaling its lowest viewership of the year last week, Raw grew 19 percent in viewership and a giant increase of 31 percent in the key demographic.
The 18-34 demographic experienced a big surge of 68 percent this week with a 0.42, which is the highest rating in that demographic since March 16, 2020 (the first empty arena episode of Raw at the Performance Center).
There were also significant increases with males 12-34 growing by 48 percent, men 18-49 up by 44 percent (its highest rating since March 16, 2020, as well with a 0.92), and adults 25-54 climbing 36 percent.
The show began with 2,125,000 viewers and a 0.69 in the 18-49 demographic representing the first time an hour of Raw has surpassed two million viewers since January 11th. In hour two, Raw grew fell in viewership to 2,091,000 but the demo rating rose to 0.71. In hour three, Raw dropped 11 percent in viewers to 1,862,000 and the demo fell by 8.5 percent to 0.65.
The third-hour decline saw a loss of 12.4 percent of its viewership compared with the first hour while the 18-49 demo fell by 6 percent. The biggest declines in the third hour were among its older audience as the 50+ dropped by 14 percent and adults 25-54 fell by 10 percent. Both adults 18-34 and males 12-34 increased by 2 percent from hour one to hour three.
Raw was easily the top program on cable on Monday and went against back-to-back NBA games on ESPN. The early game between Philadelphia and Dallas did 853,000 viewers (0.30 in 18-49) and the later game airing just after 10 pm ET between Denver and Golden State averaged 1,046,000 viewers (0.36).
Last year’s episode of Raw following WrestleMania 36 (inside the empty Performance Center) averaged 2,100,000 viewers and a 0.70 in the 18-49 demo. So, it was nearly unchanged in those two categories year-to-year. In the 18-34 demo, they improved by 10.5 percent this year.
