WWE Raw saw a sizable decrease in its demo figure that equaled its lowest figure of 2021 while viewership fell below 1.8 million.
Monday’s episode averaged 1,775,000 viewers with a 0.49 in the 18-49 demographic. Its viewership was down by 9 percent, but the key demo dropped by 19.6 percent. The 18-49 number tied the February 8th figure for Raw’s lowest of the year.
The show opened with 1,775,000 viewers and a 0.49 in the 18-49 demo. In the second hour, they experienced an increase to 1,830,000 viewers and a 0.50 and fell in hour three to 1,719,000 and a 0.47. From hour one to hour three, overall viewership only fell by 2.5 percent and the demo dropped 4 percent.
Compared with last week’s numbers, there were major declines in all the key demos monitored by Showbuzz Daily except adults 50+, which was equal to last week. The largest decline was among adults 18-34 that fell by 36 percent this week and 9 percent throughout the show.
Men 12-34 fell by 31 percent from last week, and males 18-49 dropped by 21 percent. Although, from start to finish, that audience grew by 10.3 percent throughout the three-hour program. It was the only demo that increased during the show. The largest decline throughout the show was with females 18-49 that dropped 22.5 percent. The other demos saw declines of less than 10 percent throughout the three hours.
In Canada, Raw averaged 213,600 viewers and 117,800 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. The sports competition in Canada included the Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers and Edmonton Oilers vs. Winnipeg Jets.
In other ratings news, A&E’s Biography on Roddy Piper from Sunday night averaged 880,000 viewers and a 0.27 in the 18-49 demographic finishing tenth for the night. Those numbers compare to the Steve Austin doc the week prior that did 1,062,000 and 0.38. The major difference between the Piper and Austin docs was the latter’s performance with adults 18-34 and the 12-34 demos where the Austin doc was significantly stronger as well as the key 18-49 demo.
WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures followed the Piper documentary with 769,000 and 0.27 in the 18-49 demographic finishing 11th for the night on cable.
