WWE Raw saw an improvement from last week’s figures topping 1.8 million viewers while remaining on top of the cable chart.
Monday’s program averaged 1,872,000 viewers and 0.53 in the 18-49 demographic representing an increase of 5.5 percent in viewers and 8.2 percent in the target demo.
The show saw tremendous gains in its 18-34 and male 12-34 audience growing by 39 and 46 percent respectively from last week.
The show began with 1,891,000 viewers and 0.54 in the 18-49 demo for the first hour of the program. The first-to-third hour loss was 7.6 percent in viewership and a 13 percent drop in the demo.
Every key demo monitored by Showbuzz Daily increased this week led by males 12-34, adults 18-34, and females 18-49 with the latter increasing by 19 percent.
From start to finish, men 12-34 grew by 9 percent while the 18-34 audience stayed even throughout the entire episode making that those categories the big winners this week.
The 18-49 audience for both men and women dropped by 13 percent throughout the episode while the biggest loss was among adults 25-54 falling by 15 percent during the show.
Raw went against the NBA doubleheader on ESPN with the early game between Golden State and New Orleans averaging 1,119,000 viewers and 0.42 in the 18-49 demo. The late game at 10:15 pm ET between Denver and the Lakers did 1,100,000 and 0.43.
For the entire month of April, WWE Raw averaged 1,856,000 viewers and 0.57 in the 18-49 demo over five episodes, including the night after WrestleMania. This week’s number outdid the viewership average but fell short of the demo.
Miz & Mrs. following WWE Raw finished 12th on Monday’s cable chart with 693,000 viewers and 0.22 in the 18-49 demo on the USA Network. Last week’s episode did 670,000 viewers and 0.24 in the demo.
Sunday’s WWE block on A&E saw the Randy “Macho Man” Savage biography average 790,000 viewers and 0.31 in 18-49, which was the lowest of the three biographies behind the Steve Austin and Roddy Piper episodes in overall viewers. However, the Savage doc was up in the 18-49 figure from Piper’s 0.27 last week. The reason for the viewership drop in the Savage bio was the drop in the 50+ audience from 0.43 to 0.32.
WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures averaged 563,000 viewers and 0.22 in the 18-49 demo. This week’s episode fell 26.7 percent in viewers and 18.5 percent in the demo.
