Bronson Reed earned the opportunity several weeks ago and he will be getting his shot at the NXT North American Championship next week when he meets the champion Johnny Gargano in a Steel Cage match.

NXT Champion Karrion Kross defeated Austin Theory to open the show. After his match, Kross was confronted by Finn Balor who issued a challenge for an NXT Title match. Kross accepted and it was made official for the 5/25 episode of NXT.

That 5/25 show will also see the NXT in-ring debut of Franky Monet, the former Taya Valkyrie. She arrived to NXT after weeks of vignettes and has been involved in segments with the likes of NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez, Io Shirai, Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter.

NXT official Darryl Sharma was incorporated into the tag team match between MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) and Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango). As Breeze was hitting the ropes, Sharma joined in with Nash Carter and did a leap frog over Breeze.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott’s group that consists of Briana Brandy, AJ Francis and Ashante Thee Adonis is now going by “Hit Row”.

In the two title matches on the 5/11 show, both champions retained. Raquel Gonzalez defeated Mercedes Martinez to retain the NXT Women’s Title. In the main event, KUSHIDA bested Santos Escobar in a 2-out-of-3-Falls match to hold onto his Cruiserweight Title.

Adding on to the 5/18 show is Toni Storm versus Zoey Stark.
