For multiple weeks on NXT programming, Cameron Grimes has been teased and/or one-upped by WWE Hall Of Famer Ted DiBiase. DiBiase arrived in-person to NXT and as he began to give Grimes his props, L.A. Knight came into the fold and after several weeks of back and forth between the two sides, a match between Knight and Grimes was made official for TakeOver: In Your House.
Knight fell in defeat to Jake Atlas on tonight’s NXT. DiBiase was at ringside watching Knight because Knight impressed him last week. Grimes then made his way to the ring and ended up costing Knight his match. DiBiase exited camera’s view with Cameron Grimes and Knight yelled out for DiBiase to come back.
Xia Li versus Mercedes Martinez is scheduled to take place at TakeOver as well. Martinez was targeted by Tian Sha and Xia Li stated that she will see Martinez at TakeOver. Martinez then responded by saying she beat Xia in the Mae Young Classic and she will beat her again at TakeOver.
