On Friday, Bellator confirmed Thursday’s report that Fedor Emelianenko is returning to fight this October.
In an announcement by Bellator CEO Scott Coker, it was stated that Emelianenko (39-6, 1 no-contest) will compete on October 23rd on a Bellator card scheduled to take place in Russia at the VTB Arena in Moscow.

The news of Emelianenko returning to fight in October was first reported by Ariel Helwani on Thursday.
No opponent has been announced yet for Emelianenko. Coker said they are “in the process” of figuring out the opponent and have had several offers.
During the Q&A with media, Emelianenko stated he had two fights remaining on his contract with Bellator.
It will be the former PRIDE champion’s first fight since December 2019 when he defeated Quinton Jackson by TKO.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the 44-year old was hospitalized due to COVID-19.
