MLW presented its Battle Riot III event on Saturday from Philadelphia, its first card in front of fans since March 2020.

The matches will be airing in the future on their television outlets.

In the main event, MLW National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone won the 40-person Battle Riot battle royal to earn a future championship match with Jacob Fatu. The match has been teased for a long time.

The Battle Riot match is set to air on beIN Sports on Saturday, July 24th.

The show also featured Cesar Duran (the former Dario Cueto in Lucha Underground) introducing a new version of LAX led by Konnan with Danny Limelight, Slice Boogie, and Julius Smokes as the members of the group.

Since the pandemic began, MLW had been limited to taping empty arena shows from the Gilt Nightclub in Florida and relying on its tape library by re-airing old episodes of MLW Underground from the first incarnation of the promotion that launched in 2002.
