After four consecutive weeks, AEW fell under one million viewers in the U.S. for this week’s episode of Dynamite from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
This show from the Peterson Events Center fell to 979,000 viewers with 454,000 (0.35) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.
It was the show’s lowest figures since the Road Rager show on July 7th (871,000 viewers and 422,000 in 18-49) and ends the string of four straight episodes topping one million viewers. It was still the eighth-highest Dynamite viewership of 2021.
The major loss this week as outlined by the breakdown by Wrestlenomics was among people 35-49 that fell from 412,000 to 271,000 this week.
AEW did edge out Raw in males 18-34 this week with 115,000 to 102,000.
The show featured the Fourth Labour of Jericho match as Chris Jericho pinned Wardlow to secure a match with MJF on next week’s episode from Houston, Texas. It also featured an opening match with Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks defeating Dante Martin and Matt & Mike Sydal.
In Canada, the show averaged 114,000 viewers on TSN 2, which is also their lowest number since the July 7th episode. Prior to this week’s episode, the previous four episodes had averaged 133,100 in Canada.
