Closing out tonight’s Dynamite was the final stage of the ‘Five Labours of Jericho’. The last person Chris Jericho had to defeat was MJF and the final result was MJF using his ‘Salt of the Earth’ submission maneuver to tap out Jericho. Coming into the match, one of MJF’s stipulations was that Jericho could not use his ‘Judas’ theme song but the crowd sung it acapella.

TNT Champion Miro has set his sights on Eddie Kingston. Miro successfully defended the TNT Title last week against Fuego Del Sol.
Sting had his first match on TNT in 20 years. He and Darby Allin took on 2.0 (Matt Lee & Jeff Parker). Sting won the match by tapping out both Lee and Parker with a double ‘Scorpion Deathlock’.
The Young Bucks successfully defended the AEW World Tag Team Titles against Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. Jurassic Express will have another opportunity to compete for the tag titles as they are scheduled to partake in the Eliminator tournament to determine The Young Bucks’ opponents at All Out. Joining Jurassic Express are Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy), Varsity Blonds (Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison) and The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero M & Rey Fenix). Varsity Blonds versus Fenix and Penta is taking place on the 8/25 Dynamite.
In addition to the Tag Team Eliminator tournament match, here is what has been announced for next week’s Dynamite:
- Jamie Hayter (w/ Britt Baker & Rebel) vs. Red Velvet
- Brock Anderson vs. Malakai Black
- Orange Cassidy vs. Matt Hardy
Dan Lambert made his return to AEW programming and he brought former UFC Heavyweight Champions Andrei Arlovski and Junior dos Santos with him. Lambert baited Lance Archer in which led to Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page ambushing Archer.

Prior to the show going live on TNT, Sammy Guevara proposed to his significant other. Guevara did compete on Dynamite and he got the win in his home-state of Texas by defeating Shawn Spears.
