WALTER’s reign as NXT UK Champion came to an end.
For two years, WALTER has held onto the NXT UK Championship and that reign came to an end at TakeOver 36. WALTER and Ilja Dragunov met once again to follow up on their match from the Fall of 2020. This go around, Ilja came out on top and tapped WALTER out to become champion.
The two talents clashed in a physical bout. As WALTER attempted to remove Ilja from behind him, Ilja caught the now-former champion in a sleeper hold and won his first championship in WWE.

Ilja Dragunov now joins WALTER, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate on the list of NXT UK Champions.
