The final sequence of their match on SmackDown saw Balor hit the Coup de Grâce onto Reigns and when Reigns kicked out, he gave Balor a low blow in the process which led to him scoring the win.
As Reigns and Paul Heyman were exiting camera’s view, the beginning of Balor’s ‘Demon King’ theme played and the lights went red before quickly going back to Reigns’ music.
Both Reigns and Heyman are appearing on the 9/10 SmackDown at Madison Square Garden. Brock Lesnar is going to be on the show as well and this is his first WWE appearance since confronting Reigns at SummerSlam.
Here’s the updated Extreme Rules card:

- WWE United States Championship: Damian Priest (c) vs. Sheamus
