Mike Verna was back in action shortly after surgery.

This past Monday, independent talent Mike Verna posted a statement on social media which read that a piece of food was lodged in his esophagus. That led to two ruptures, internal bleeding and blood clots. He had a surgical procedure on Monday to repair the tears and was discharged on the 14th.

Verna was present for the AEW Dark taping in Newark, New Jersey on 9/15 and he wrestled Orange Cassidy.

Verna began working with AEW in 2020. He has worked a total of eight matches on the company’s Dark and Dark: Elevation programs over the last year.

Verna also appears for Chaotic Wrestling, Northeast and Beyond Wrestling.
