AEW’s Saturday night edition of Dynamite saw a sizable drop from the week prior, although managed a top ten finish on cable.

The October 23rd live episode from Orlando, Florida averaged 575,000 viewers and 288,000 (0.22) in the 18-49 demographic as it finished tenth among original cable programs on Saturday, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Saturday night was another major night of sports with the NLCS game between the Atlanta Braves and L.A. Dodgers topping everything on television with 6,949,000 viewers and 1.75 in 18-49 on TBS followed by the Tennessee vs. Alabama college football game that aired against Dynamite and finished with 4,679,000 viewers and 1.09 in the demo.

Compared to last week’s episode of Saturday Night Dynamite, AEW fell 21 percent in both overall viewers and 18-49. Dynamite was also hurt by a 31.5 percent drop among Females 18-49 and 27 percent decline with Adults 25-54. The 50+ demo decreased by 28 percent. The outlier was Males 12-34 that grew by 27 percent from the prior week’s average.

In Canada, Dynamite was up against Hockey Night in Canada, where the early game did just over 1,525,000 viewers as well as competition from the CFL, a Toronto Raptors game, and the NLCS. The result was Dynamite finishing outside of the top ten sports broadcasts that day and averaged 36,000 viewers on TSN 2, which was down from 41,000 the week prior.

Dynamite returns to its regular Wednesday night slot this week on TNT and TSN 2 in Canada with a live episode from the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts.

Fox aired a replay of SmackDown on Saturday from 8-10 p.m. ET after the Houston vs. Boston series ended on Friday evening. The replay averaged 632,000 viewers with 212,000 viewers (0.16) in 18-49 and finished last among the big four networks in the demo.

The season-finale of Rhodes to the Top aired immediately after Dynamite with 309,000 viewers and 0.11 in the 18-49 demo, finishing 26th among cable originals on Saturday.
