Several championships changed hands at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘Demolition Stage 2021’ event on Saturday in Yokohama.
In the main event of the card from Yokohama Budokan, Keiji Muto and Naomichi Marufuji secured the GHC tag team titles by ending the short reign of Masa Kitamiya & Kaito Kiyomiya, who failed to make a defense of the championship.
The ending of the match occurred when Muto landed the shining wizard on Kitamiya and won the match for his team after the thirty-minute mark.
It is the first time in Muto’s lengthy career that he has held this version of the tag titles while it is Marufuji’s eighth reign as tag champion for NOAH.
.@muto_keiji has now achieved the Grand Slam of tag team gold in Japan! He’s the second man to do it after Yoshihiro Takayama!

Kitamiya & Kiyomiya had won the titles back in July after Kitamiya and Katsuhiko Nakajima broke up as a team while holding the titles. Each member of the championship chose a partner with Kitamiya selecting Kiyomiya and beating Nakajima and Manabu Soya.
On Saturday’s card, Kenoh regained the GHC National Championship by defeating Masaaki Mochizuki, who only held the championship for sixteen days.
Kenoh is now a two-time holder of the belt after previously winning the National Championship in August 2020 and losing the belt to Kazuyuki Fujita this past March.
After winning the National Championship, Kenoh issued a challenge to GHC Heavyweight Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima. Later in the day, NOAH confirmed the Champion vs. Champion match will take place on November 28th in a Double Title Match.
